Embed Google Reviews in Elementor – In 3 Steps

Display your Google reviews directly on your Elementor page. No plugin, no coding skills — done in under 2 minutes.

Elementor is the most popular page builder for WordPress — over 16 million websites use it. In Switzerland, agencies, freelancers and SMEs rely on Elementor because pages can be designed via drag and drop without coding. The best part: embedding Google reviews in Elementor is particularly easy. Elementor has a built-in HTML widget. You drag it onto the page, paste the SwissTrustWidget code — done. No additional plugin needed.

1

Create Widget at SwissTrustWidget

Go to swisstrustwidget.ch and click "Create Widget". Connect your Google location, choose a template (badge, carousel, review cards). With Elementor you can position the widget pixel-perfectly — try different templates in the preview. Customise the design.

2

Copy Embed Code

Once your widget is designed, click "Copy Code". SwissTrustWidget generates a short script tag — this is the code you insert into Elementor. Copy the entire code to your clipboard.

3

Insert in Elementor

In Elementor editor: drag the HTML widget from the sidebar → paste embed code → widget appears directly in preview → click "Update". For multiple pages: save as global widget. For header/footer: use Elementor Pro Theme Builder.

What the embed code looks like

HTML
<script src="https://cdn.swisstrustwidget.ch/widget.js"
  data-place-id="IHR_GOOGLE_PLACE_ID"
  data-template="badge-compact"
  data-theme="light">
</script>

Where to place the widget?

Home page (hero area or below): A badge or trust pill directly below the headline. With Elementor you can position the widget within an existing section alongside other elements. Contact page: Review cards or a carousel next to the contact form. In Elementor: create a two-column section — form on the left, reviews on the right. Footer (site-wide via Theme Builder): A compact badge in the footer on every subpage. Controlled centrally via the Elementor Pro Theme Builder. About us page: An extensive widget with multiple reviews in its own section. Landing pages: A widget near the call-to-action button boosts conversions.

Troubleshooting: Widget not showing?

Elementor preview vs. frontend: The widget usually appears directly. If not: click "Update" and open the page on the frontend. Browser cache / Caching plugin: WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache etc. often show an old version. Clear cache or use incognito mode. Security plugin: Wordfence or Sucuri sometimes block external scripts. Allow domain cdn.swisstrustwidget.ch. Elementor version: Use the latest version. Older versions (before 3.0) occasionally have issues with external scripts. Content Security Policy (CSP): If you see "Refused to load script" error, add cdn.swisstrustwidget.ch to your CSP.
